SMALL CHANGES TO MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE

November 21st 2021

Dear Parents/ Guardians,

We are aware that there are positive Covid 19 cases in our community. The current level of Covid 19 is placing an enormous strain on the entire health system. Therefore, it is vitally important at this time that we continue to be vigilant in our effort to reduce the chances of Covid 19 entering our school.

Please adhere to the following advice and keep our school safe and protect our health system.

·        Keep your child/ren home if they are unwell, have symptoms of Covid 19 or have been a close contact of a positive case.

·        Wear masks at our school grounds at all times-while dropping or collecting your child/ren.

·        Reduce your child/ren’s contacts.

·         Drop your child at the assigned times outside the school. No gathering at the gates.

·        Junior Infants 9.20am

·        Senior Infants 9.10am

·        1st class 9.20am

·        2nd class 9.10am

·        3rd class 9.10am

·        4th class  9.20am

·        5th class 9.20am

·        6th class 9.10am

Please note that young children must be accompanied by an adult when being dropped at the school gates.

We greatly appreciate all the support and the vigilance in adhering to public health advice and in keeping our school community safe.

Please seek medical advice from your GP and or visit the HSE website for up to date information.

Kind regards,

RATHVILLY - SENIOR COUNTY CHAMPIONS 2021
The children and staff of St. Patricks' NS were very excited when the Rathvilly County Champions  team and management paid us a visit on Thursday, 18th  November.  Everyone was decked out in the Rathvilly colours and the school was decorated with lots of flags and bunting. The children were very impressed with the Senior Championship cup and also the Minor Championship cup which took pride of place.
It was a really enjoyable occasion and we are very grateful to the team and also Monsignor McEvoy for taking the time to celebrate with us.

TEAM HOPE 2021
Sincere thanks and appreciation to all pupils and their families who have supported the Team Hope Appeal this year.
The children are pictured with their lovely boxes which will be sent to under-priveleged children all over the world  this Christmas.
Well done everyone especially Mrs Cullen who co-ordinated the project.

TIDY TOWNS FUND-RAISER

It was "Crazy Hair and Mad Socks" day in St. Patricks's NS. The children enjoyed the entertainment while raising funds for our wonderful Rathvilly Tidy Towns committee. Thanks to everyone who supported this fund-raiser.
